He had always been aware of these...feelings he bore. It was wrong, disgusting, forbidden, and he knew it, yet there was nothing he could do. It pushed against his caged heart, just begging to be let free. Everything about his feelings were wrong. Not just the fact that he loved another guy, or the fact that this guy was his best friend, but the fact that this guy was his friend's boyfriend. What right did he have to barge in between them? What right did he have to ruin their bond? What right did he have to allow his sinful feelings to consume the happiness they shared?
None.
He had no right; none at all.
Yet the feelings were still there. The sinful feelings of wanting to push him against the wall, ravish his tan skin until it turned red, to have him under him, crying out in need, begging him to fuck him until everyone in the world knew that he was his and his alone. He wanted those smoky azure eyes to gaze at him, and only him. He was in love; terribly in love with his deep blue eyes, creamy caramel skin, and smooth husky voice.
Yagami Taichi was hopelessly in love with his best friend and rival, Ishida Yamato.
The feelings continued welling up in him. The hatred, jealousy he held when he saw the Yamato and Sora together, the stabbing of the invisible knife deep into his heart, and the pure agony he went through everytime he kept denying his own feelings. There was nothing else to do. Nothing else he could do. The other chosen ones would be fine without him...they had their own lives to live, and Kari had TK...he would protect Kari, Tai knew that for sure.
He would leave...there was no other choice but for him to leave. It was either that or be broken, and Tai was not a masochist. He was not capable of enduring anymore. There were only two people that could help him now. Help him disappear from Japan and leave behind the memories, help him start anew.
Tai leapt from his bed once he formed his resolve. He heard giggles nearby and knew that his sister was talking to TK. He smiled. His little sister would be fine. Steeling his resolve once more he stepped out of the apartment complex and into the chilly night, slipping his cell phone out of his pocket. He hesitated momentarily before dialing an overseas number.

Pale pink hair fluttered slightly as a girl of thirteen parted herself from her boyfriend's kiss, slightly irritated at the fact that someone would call so early in the morning. Her parents had finally caved in to her desire and agreed to rent an apartment for her so she could live closer to the school, which meant that she had a lot of time to spend with her boyfriend.
"Hold on Jo, phone's ringing." She said softly, hushing his protests with a seductive smile that sent shivers down his spine, promising him much more than a simple kiss after she came back from the phone.
"Hello? Mimi here, whose calling?" She asked in her slightly accented English, not realizing her caller-id portrayed a number from Japan.
"...Mimi? Is that you?"
Mimi recognized the voice. How could she not? How could she not recognize the voice of their unofficial leader? What shocked her most, however, was the despair in his voice. The silent plead, begging her to help him.
"Tai!? What's wrong?"
Jo came up next to her and looked on worriedly. He could see the concern on his girlfriend's face, but all he could do was watch on and wonder what happened to their friend.
"Mimi...Can...can I stay with you and Jo for a while?" Tai asked in a haunting whisper, not knowing what he would do if his friend rejected his request. Mimi's face scrunched up in further worry, turning to Jo mouthing: something's wrong with Tai. She turned her attention back to the phone.
"Tai? I'm placing the phone on speaker. Only Jo's around so tell us what's wrong." She pleaded as she pressed the speaker button. Tai voice drifted over the line, breaking off slightly due to static.
"I just can't deal with this anymore...with the sight of "them" together. I'm...I'm breaking guys...I need to get away" A loud plopping noise told them that Tai had slid down the wall, leaning against it for support. His confession shocked them. They knew who he was referring to, they were the ones who had encouraged him to call them if anything happened after all. Tai was strong, for him to admit that he was breaking was not a joking matter. Mimi turned to Jo, determination shining in her eyes and Jo nodded his head slightly in agreement.
"Of course Tai, you know that you're always welcome here. I'll pick you up at the airport." Mim hesitated slightly.
"Are you going to tell...them?" The hidden question was clear."Are you going to tell him?" The slight pause they heard over the phone, however, told them the answer beforehand.
Tai planned on disappearing...completely.
-----------
Four years. Four years have passed since that day; the day that Yagami Taichi disappeared from the face of Earth. Those who knew Taichi were heart-broken by this piece of news, Yamato and Sora especially. Who could blame them? They were Taichi's best friends...and they were devastated to learn that their friend was gone...without a single trace or clue left of him.
Only a couple people were not shocked by Taichi's diappearance. Saddened yes, but shcoked no. Hikari had already knew about her brother's plans beforehand. She had overheard him talking to Mimi and Jo over the phone. She was shocked at her brother's plans at first, but she also knew it was for the best. Her brother's light was dimming. The light that used to sparkle to the pont of blinding was reduced to a dull shine. Kari was no fortune teller, but she was the bearer of the Crest of Light. She would have to be blind, deaf, and stupid to not realize her own brother's dimming light, and she also knew the reason why.
His forbidden feelings for his best friend and rival, Ishida Yamato.

It's not explaining things to people I hate, it's when you shove it down their throats and they *still* refuse to swallow!!!
